A pair of original Swedish painted wooden candlestands/pedestals, dating from around the 1870s and featuring a patinated white and grey finish

Charming pair of Swedish painted wooden candlestands/pedestals dating from the late 19th century, circa 1870s. Beautifully crafted with a distressed white and grey painted finish, these elegant pieces display the understated character and rustic sophistication associated with Scandinavian country furniture.

The naturally worn surface and aged patina give the pedestal exceptional authenticity, while its simple yet refined form makes it a versatile decorative piece. Ideal for displaying sculptures, plants, candles, or decorative objects, it brings warmth and character to both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The soft, weathered tones and timeworn finish reflect decades of use, creating a wonderfully atmospheric piece that complements farmhouse, Gustavian, and country-house interiors alike.
